Q. My package was marked delivered, but I can't find it.
A. Helpful Tips To Locating Your Package
If your package shows that it has been delivered, but you can’t locate it. Here are several tips to finding it.
Check your mailbox
All packages are shipped through the United States Postal Service unless otherwise noted and are delivered to your mailbox if they are small. If they are larger, check where USPS delivers larger packages. This is usually near your front door.
Check your porch area
You’d be surprised how many times a customer has found their package behind a bench, chair, or a nearby bush.
Check with your neighbors
Sometimes we’ve seen cases where a neighbor has received the package on accident. This is most prevalent in student mailboxes and apartment buildings.
Check with someone who lives in your house.
Another common issue we’ve seen is that someone else in the house has received the package on your behalf. If it is around the holidays, we’ve had cases where the package was intercepted and even wrapped and put with holiday gifts!
Call or go to your local post office.
These are the people that have the most information!
I’ve seen situations where they’ve identified a new mailman/woman who was on your route that day, and can ask him or her more information. They also have access to an internal tracking system which shows more information than what you or I can see.
If you selected USPS Priority mail at checkout that comes with insurance. If all else fails and the package has been lost for more than 7 days, a claim can be filed.
Packages are mailed in blue mailer bags, white priority mailer bags or white priority boxes!
We’re more than happy to assist you in locating your package, however please understand we do not have any more information than you do! Once we release packages, they are in custody of USPS.
